Moving to word press?

So I've been considering moving this blog over to word press. So many of you have been telling me that I need to blog more...and more frequently. I totally agree!

I am committing the next few days to revamping my blog page. Although I am super busy (as usual)...I NEED to keep everyone in the loop and show some of my new photos. And once June hits...if you've seen my calendar...I'm going to be super duper extra uber busy....so I guess the best time is now.

And I think that I will keep the writing to a minimum, and do a bit more video blogging and MUCH more photo blogging.

A momentous proposal {LIFE}

This week was the most beautiful week of my life.

I proposed to the most beautiful woman I have ever met.

I have the most beautiful future lying ahead of me.

I am the most blessed.

Busy bee...blogger 2nd Place

I have been so busy the past couple of weeks that I have not been blogging all that much. There are so many ways to get in contact with people these days that sometimes it feels like we don't actually connect anymore.

I mean...people read my twitting....my facebook....my blog....my emails....my websites.............but how many people can read my body language during a conversation??

To me, those are the people that are closest. Sure, all of this online networking is fun...but are we really networking? We know everything about a person....but when it comes time to actually talk with that person....what do we have left to talk about?

Facebook and Twitter have been using our need to do "something" to feed their systems of information. They use the information that we pass on to eachother and sell advertising space!!

Sorry...that was my rant for the day.

Other than that....everything is beautiful. I've been taking a much needed winter break. The weddings start up again in May...and then the you know what hits the fan. That will probably mean less blogging by text and more photblogging.

New Iphone App

So this is my very first time blogging from my iPhone. We'll see if this can save me a bit of time while giving me better access to post on a more consistent basis. I'll be able to upload photos from my phone and give my current location... All very cool stuff I'm sure. We'll have to see how this works out:)

My Baby's getting an upgrade...

My baby (one of them) is of course, my gorgeous 24" imac....and it is getting it's yearly tune-up and upgrade. I'm so excited because it's going to feel like I'm getting a brand new computer. Bigger hard drive, upgraded RAM, and a tune-up to make it run beautifully. One thing that I always recommend to my fellow photographers is to back-up your systems hourly...so that these types of upgrades or transitions run extra smoothly. Although I miss my baby profoundly, I know that Carbon Computing (on Queen St.) is going to take good care of her. They are awesome by the way....if you're thinking of getting a mac...i say go with Carbon. They are laid back tech junkies who understand artists and business people alike. Tell them I sent you....might not do any good....but at least they'll know that they are getting referrals! LOL

Great Meeting you all....

What a great bridal show at the MTCC this weekend! If you had the chance to get there then hopefully you were able to stop by our booth. It was so great to see all the love in the air. Love...with a hint of stress and worry and feelings of overwhelm. Almost every bride-to-be told me that they were overwhelmed with all of the information and options available. I totally agree. This bridal show is massive and there are so many vendors pulling you in every direction. My standpoint was to make some good connections with those that loved my work and let those who were rushing by take a card to visit the site. I'm super confident that even if you didn't get a chance to talk with us, the website will provide you with enough information about booking your favorite photographer through Bravo.
I'm really pumped for this upcoming year. Recession or not, there is only one wedding day and I think that people recognize that fact and are still giving the planning process a valiant effort.
